Need to replace a missing tooth ? one (or more) dental implant is probably the best solution for both functional and aesthetic new teeth.
A tooth implant is an artificial tooth root usually made of titanium. These anchors act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone. The bone bonds with the titanium; this is the osteointegration. this process creates a strong foundation for porcelain teeth, crown or bridge, or they can stabilze your denture. Mini implants can be used in narrow jaw bone.

Small posts called “abutments” are then attached to the implants, which protrude through the gums. These posts will support the replacement teeth. Dental implants can be used to replace a single lost tooth or many missing teeth. Implants also help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration, which occurs when teeth are missing.
It is now possible to use non-metallic implants. Zirconium (extremely strong ceramic) can be used in place of the usual Titanium. This can be used either for aesthetic reasons or for those patients wishing totally metal-free restorations, for those patients concerned with allergies to nickel or other metals ( Several studies shows that titanium alloys contain traces of nickel and other metals, as a result of the production process. This can trigger health problems in patients with nickel allergy - ranging from simple skin rashes to muscle pain and fatigue - and also mean that a reaction may be falsely attributed to titanium itself.
